POPCORN CONCERT - "Peter and the Wolf" Memorial Park Recreation Center Sunday, March 9, 2008, 3 p.m. Join conductor Adron Ming, the Lewisville Lake Symphony and the Lake Cities Ballet as they tell Sergei Prokofiev’s cunning tale of “Peter and the Wolf.” Children and grown-ups of all ages have fun learning about various instruments and watching the ballet to find out if Peter and his friends can outsmart that wolf! Popcorn and drinks served for all. For advanced tickets and more information, visit http://www.lewisvillesymphony.org/ or call (972) 874-9087. Advanced tickets cannot be purchased at the recreation centers. Tickets can be purchased at the door the dayof the event. Tickets: Adults (18+) $10, Children $5, Non-walking Infants (Free), Students $8, Seniors (60+) $8, Family Rate $25.
(I've taken my children to this annual event many times and it is tops! I highly recommend it as a 'first time concert' for the young ones. You can sit on the gym mats or risers, eat popcorn and not have to worry about being so quiet.)
